Montrice

More than a doula

On top of doula support, a Montrice is someone who can also check fetal heart tones, cervical checks, and the mother’s vital signs, this is not a midwife, and while some are trained to deliver babies as a midwife, the Montrice’s job is to take care of you in early labor until you are ready to head to your place of birth such as hospital or birth center or help you to know when to call your midwife. I also offer non-diatnostic ultrasound/sonograms in home as apart of my services.

PLUS: like mentioned above, cervical checks (if desired), fetal heart monitoring with a Doppler, ultrasound/sonograms, maternal vitals such as pulse and blood pressure, check baby’s position, help you plan when it’s time to head into the birth place or call your midwife to come. I will continue to provide support as a doula and work alongside your care team one they arrive or you transfer to planned place of birth.
